Central Jakarta Mayor, Arifin along with Head of Jakarta Baznas Bazis, Akhmad H. Abu Bakar and President Director of PT Moda Integrasi Transportasi Jabodetabek (PT MITJ), Fuad I. Z. Fachroeddin, inaugurated the Difabis Cafe at Kendal Tunnel, Dukuh Atas, Menteng, on Wednesday (4/16).

The inauguration of the outlet named 'Coffee and Tea', was marked by ribbon-cutting by the Mayor, Head of Jakarta Baznas Bazis, and President Director of PT MITJ.
Jakarta - Baznas Bazis Strengthens Disability EmpowermentAccording to Arifin, the inauguration of this cafe is one of city's efforts together with Jakarta Baznas Bazis and PT MITJ to provide opportunities for persons with disabilities to become entrepreneurs.
"Jakarta Government is here to provide equality and support for persons with disabilities. They are not just beneficiaries, but also main actors in various activities in Jakarta," he asserted.
He assessed that cafe's location is highly appropriate, as Kendal Tunnel area is a transit point for five mass transportation modes and is often crowded.
"Kendal Tunnel is a point where five mass transportation modes meet, making it a busy place," he added.
Similar thing was conveyed by the Head of Jakarta Baznas Bazis, Akhmad H. Abu Bakar. He said the establishment of this cafe is one of their initiatives to empower persons with disabilities to learn and be involved in the coffee and tea industry, as well as to provide opportunities for entrepreneurship.
"Through this program, persons with disabilities can develop their skills, build confidence, and improve their standard of living through cafe entrepreneurship," he explained.
