Jakarta Opens Arts and Culture Training at 77 RPTRAs

The North Jakarta Cultural Sub-agency is holding arts and culture training in 77 Integrated Child-Friendly Public Spaces (RPTRA). The training will take place from April 11 to May 15, 2025.
This training is open to kids, teenagers, and adults
North Jakarta Culture Sub-agency Head, Mis'ari said the training in this open space is an annual routine activity aimed at preserving cultural arts within the community. It serves as a means to nurture creativity and self-expression for the younger generation.
"The training provided includes dance, martial arts, painting, musical instruments, batik, theater, and traditional games," she expressed, Wednesday (4/23).
Betawi Dance and Craft Training Held at South Jakarta PPSBShe explained that each RPTRA has one instructor or professional coach in their field. Training is scheduled twice a week, following the schedule agreed upon by the RPTRA caretaker and the related art coach.
"This training is open to kids, teenagers, and adults. They can register directly at the nearest RPTRA to their home," she explained.
Nirmala RPTRA Caretaker, Mohamad Irwanto explained the training has already taken place twice with around 30 participants. It is held every weekend starting at 10 AM.
"This is very popular among children, many still want to register but the quota is already full," he explained.
He added this dance art training was chosen due to the demand from local kids. It was expected to develop the kid's talents in the field of arts.
"Here is also a place to learn and develop children's talents. Hopefully, our RPTRA will continue to be busy," he stated.
