56 RPTRAs in North Jakarta Open Free Dance Training, Join Now!

The North Jakarta Culture Sub-agency is providing cultural arts coaching and training in 56 child-friendly integrated public spaces (RPTRA), from July 1 to September 11, 2022.
Hopefully, it can be held in all RPTRAs throughout North Jakarta
North Jakarta Culture Sub-agency Head Rofiqoh said the cultural art coaching and training involved 112 performers of cultural arts who are experts in their fields.
According to him, it was aimed at improving the artistic talent and creativity of the community, providing facilities for the younger generation with positive activities while at the same time participating in preserving local and archipelago arts and culture. The training provided included traditional dance, painting, hadroh music, marawis (percussion-based music), gambang kromong (traditional Betawi musical ensemble), theater, drawing, and batik painting.

He added the target participants were children, students, and the general public. The first day was held at Tunas Harapan RPTRA, Manggala Bisma RPTRA, Walang Baru RPTRA, and Belira RPTRA.
"We want to give children the opportunity to fill their time with positive things considering that it is now the school holidays," he exclaimed.
Azra Nur Rahma Hafiza (9), who participated in the Betawi Dance training at the Walang Baru RPTRA Hall, felt happy to take part in the dance practice guided by an instructor and an assistant.
"This is my first-time experience. I've always loved dancing. Betawi dance is one of my favorite dances," she closed.
