PT JIP to Construct SJUT along 84.5 KM in East and South Jakarta

The Jakarta Government, through PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro), has almost completed the SJUT construction on 10 roads along 25 kilometers, consisting of Jalan Mampang Prapatan, Kapten Tendean, Senopati, Suryo, Wolter Mongonsidi, Cikajang, Gunawarman, Patimura, Trunojoyo, and Jalan Sultan Hasanuddin.

"The progress of overhead cable work on 10 road segments has reached 82 percent," he conveyed, on Thursday (4/24).

There are currently 64 operators collaborating in the use of SJUT, and the government remains open to partnering with any operators who wish to join.

"We are moving from above to below. Because it is much better, especially for maintenance," he expressed.

Rano mentioned that SJUT maintenance and route upkeep will be carried out daily by PT Jakpro. Meanwhile, maintenance for mainhole will be carried out every three months.

He emphasized that SJUT development will continue on other road segments. However, for now, the priority is focused on the 10 road segments with high traffic.

"It doesn't mean residential areas or alleys are excluded, but we must prioritize those roads because of the level of difficulty," he asserted.

PT Jakpro President Director, Iwan Takwin stated that in the future, his party will prioritize densely populated areas in South Jakarta and East Jakarta for overhead cable arrangement. This step is taken to ensure the safety and comfort of residents.

"We prioritize dense areas to maintain aesthetics, comfort, and safety for the surrounding residents. From south, we know it's a dense area with high activity, and later we will move to the east," he explained.
