Jakarta Legislative Council (DPRD) Vice Chairperson Misan Samsuri, appreciated the collaboration between the Bina Marga Agency and PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro), which is intensively building an Integrated Utility Network Facility (SJUT) in the capital city.
When it's finished and tidy, people will be happy and enjoy it
According to him, the arrangement of the utility network is part of Jakarta's transformation into a modern global city and a Smart City, as well as realizing neatness, thus it is in line with the rules of city spatial planning, sustainability, and aesthetics.
"Towards a modern city, there should be no more utilities on poles or lying on the road. Apart from being an eyesore, it can also endanger road users in the event of an electrical short-circuit," he said, Wednesday (9/7).
Jakpro: December 2022, SJUT Project on 32 Jakarta Roads CompletedHe explained that the relocation of aerial to underground cables would take a long time and affect the comfort of road users, therefore he urged residents to be patient to make Jakarta a better place.
"When it's finished and tidy, people will be happy and enjoy it," he explained.
As for the information, the SJUT arrangement is focused on 32 roads where they are divided into 22 roads in South Jakarta and 10 other roads in East Jakarta.
Yet, there are SJUT points that have been built and completed 100%. They are located on seven 20-kilometer roads in South Jakarta, with details on Jalan Mampang Prapatan, Jalan Kapten Tendean, Jalan Senopati, Jalan Suryo, Jalan Cikajang, Jalan Wolter Monginsidi, and Jalan Gunawarman.
"Hope it can be carried out in all regions of Jakarta," he hoped.
