"This decision does not burden residents, especially in the midst of difficult economic conditions," he said, Thursday (4/24).

August added Jakarta Provincial Government sets BBKB tax as low as possible in the midst of low people's purchasing power. Moreover, fuel for vehicles remains something that is needed.

"This policy provides breathing space for the people's economy," he added.

Previously, Jakarta Governor Pramono explained that this decision is a form of relaxation of the maximum tariff set by the central government by 10 percent.

Pramono added the tariff adjustment will be socialized to residents and followed up through the issuance of the Governor's Regulation.

"At the gas stations, the change is only felt by Jakarta residents," he stated.
