City Hall Daycare Facility is Good, Pramono Says

Jakarta Governor, Pramono Anung visited daycare facility at Jakarta City Hall, Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan, Gambir, Central Jakarta, Monday (5/5).

Pramono's visit was to see the facilities and operations of the daycare center for children of employees at the city hall. After his visit, Pramono assessed that the daycare facilities at the city hall were very good.
"The facility is already good," he said.

"Now the capacity is only for 20 people," he added.
Moreover, Pramono also emphasized the need to adjust study hours to parents' working hours. So that children do not need to be picked up early.
"It is also important for mothers to remain focus with their works," he continued.
At this moment, there are 47 daycare facilities; 22 of them are managed by Jakarta Provincial Government or City Government, and the remaining 24 are managed by private. Pramono assessed the facilities is very important in providing security and comfort for working mothers, while also ensuring good education for their children.
Pramono wants this facility at city hall to be a model for other agencies. According to him, city hall's daycare is more representative compared to others. Teaching program will be developed again to improve the facility.
Meanwhile, Acting Jakarta Education Head, Sarjoko stated the daycare registration mechanism at the city hall will follow the New Student Admissions (PPDB) period which opens in June, with the requirement that the child's age be between 2 and 6 years.
"The age requirement is two to six years," he stated.
