Jakarta Cooperates the Apparatus Ordering Thuggery

The Governor of Jakarta, Pramono Anung, reaffirmed his commitment to crack down on extortion by community organizations in Jakarta.

We will cooperate with law enforcement authorities

According to him, the Jakarta government would collaborate with law enforcement authorities to regulate community organizations that operate outside the law.

"We will cooperate with law enforcement authorities. The Jakarta Government will definitely act," he expressed, in Kebon Melati, Central Jakarta, Tuesday (5/27).

He stated that the issue of thuggery practices acted by mass organizations is no longer a primary concern. Nevertheless, he emphasized that all residents must comply with and adhere to the rules.

"The most important thing is that everyone must obey, submit, and comply with the rules," he asserted.

As informartion, the Home Ministry previously urged regional heads to take decisive action against mass organizations that violate regulations. Regional heads are deemed capable of implementing measures to regulate mass organizations in accordance with their authority.
