This provision of spaces for student expression isn't limited to parks. The Governor also stated that library services and several museums have been extended to facilitate learning and creativity for Jakarta's children.
"They can work in the park and even in the library," he added.
Pramono wants Jakarta's children to channel their positive energy effectively through the provision of public spaces. He hopes this effort can provide a solution to the problem of youth brawls, which are also common in Jakarta.
"Jakarta needs positive energy for everyone to have the same opportunity to play an active and positive role in working in Jakarta," he continued.
Pramono also opened Jakarta City Hall to student visits. He asked the Head of the Education Agency to provide monthly opportunities for Jakarta children to visit and explore City Hall.
Jakarta Education Agency Head, Nahdiana said this student art space activity is part of a series of events to commemorate National Children's Day and activate the 24-hour city park.
This student art space is a concrete manifestation of the education sector's support for the use of city parks as open, safe, and inclusive public spaces.
"So we see the park not just as a green space, but as a place for artistic and cultural expression for all students," she said.
This student art space activity is also held simultaneously throughout Jakarta, including in Lapangan Banteng Park, Menteng Park, Ayodia Park, Langsat Park, Ecopark Tebet, and others.
