North Jakarta Earns Child-Friendly City Main Category Award in 2025

North Jakarta Government has received the 2025 “Child-Friendly City” (KLA) Main Category award from Ministry of Women Empowerment and Child Protection (PPPA).

The award was accepted by North Jakarta Secretary Assistant for People's Welfare (Asminra), Muhammad Andri, from PPPA Minister Arifatul Choiri Fauzi during the award ceremony held at H.M. Rasjidi Ballroom, Ministry of Religious Affairs, Jakarta, on Friday evening (8/8).

Expanding Library Access, Reading Spots in Jakarta Increases

Andri stated that the award reflects the collective efforts of all stakeholders.

Alhamdulillah, North Jakarta has once again maintained its KLA award in the Main Category for 2025,” he said on Saturday (8/9).

He added that this recognition further motivates all parties in North Jakarta to improve children's quality of life and strengthen child protection.

“We want every child in North Jakarta to smile, feel safe, and have equal opportunities to achieve their dreams. This is not just the government's responsibility, but a shared one,” he emphasized.

Head of North Jakarta Empowerment, Child Protection, and Population Control (PPAPP) Sub-agency, Ferlina Kirtiasih, explained that the award was based on 24 indicators, including institutional support, civil rights and freedoms, family environment and alternative care, basic health and welfare, education, use of leisure time and cultural activities, and special protection.

“Thank you to everyone who contributed. This award also serves as a valuable evaluation point for us moving forward, as we aim to improve and once again earn the Main Category award for KLA through collaboration,” she said.
