"Despite the current turnover is still dominated by the wholesale sector, the contribution of modern retail keeps increasing. With the issuance of import permits, we're optimistic that the general trade sector will grow larger," he expressed.
Besides focusing on commercial aspects, they emphasize their role as a regional company that cares about the environment by developing sustainability programs on a 1.2-hectare land in Cakung, including an ecopark, nursery, and greenhouse. This program supports the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and educates the community about urban farming.
"Through a combination of sound business strategies, collaboration with various parties, and a commitment to sustainability, Dharma Jaya emphasizes its role as an adaptive, innovative BUMD that makes a real contribution to Jakarta residents," he explained.
Jakarta BUMD Development Agency Head, Syaefuloh Hidayat, added that BUMDs have three main functions: providing for the community's needs, building the economy, and seeking profit.
"Dharma Jaya is one of the BUMDs that plays a role in maintaining Jakarta's food security while also contributing to inflation control. Hence, strengthening performance through strategic collaboration is highly important, both with the private sector and other regional BUMDs," he explained.
To ensure the targets are achieved, all directors and commissioners of Dharma Jaya have signed the Integrity Pact and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) as a commitment to maintaining food security while also preserving profitability.
"With the Integrity Pact and KPI, Dharma Jaya can evolve into a food company that not only gains profit but also helps maintain Jakarta City's food security," he stated.
