The realization of Jakarta's City Budget (APBD) until July 31, 2025, shows positive performance. Regional revenue recorded Rp 45.63 trillion or 56 percent of the target, while regional expenditure was only realized at Rp 30.95 trillion or 37 percent of the budget.
The 56 percent revenue realization in this third quarter is quite positive
This condition results in a APBD surplus by Rp 14.67 trillion with unused funds (SiLPA) by Rp 18.56 trillion, from the total APBD 2025 by Rp 91.34 trillion.
That achievement received appreciation from Jakarta City Council Commission B Vice Chairman, Wahyu Dewanto.
City Council Approves 2026 City Budget Worth Rp 95 Trillion"The 56 percent revenue realization in this third quarter is quite positive, especially since there are still four months to reach the 2025 revenue target," he expressed, Thursday (8/28).
He emphasized that the low absorption of regional expenditure, which has only reached 37 percent, will be optimized as the budget absorption approaches the end of the year.
"Hopefully, the increase in spending won't reduce the quality of the projects conducted," he added.
Wahyu also appreciated the positive trend of economic and social indicators in Jakarta. Hopefully, this trend would continue as the absorption of regional government budgets increases.
"In the future, the APBD must increasingly drive regional economic growth and strengthen social protection programs. This can be achieved through sharper and more thorough evaluation and planning of the budget," he explained.
Jakarta City Council Commission B Member, Muhammad Al Fatih assessed, the positive achievements in the Jakarta Government's financial report were good news for the community.
He believed that the achievement of the budget could be felt by small residents, MSMEs, workers in need of employment, and young people who are starting to start businesses.
"If the government consistently implements tangible programs, Insya Allah (God willing), Jakarta's economic growth can be felt more evenly and fairly," he stated.
