AKAP Bus Operational in Lebak Bulus Restricted

City Transportation department issued an operational limitation policy for Intercity and interprovincial (AKAP) bus in Lebak Bulus Terminal, South Jakarta. This policy was applied to anticipate passengers surge during homecoming season.

We'll set the operational bus in terminal

Supri Hartono, Head of Lebak Bulus Terminal explained the policy must be applied to accommodate more buses because of limited terminal area. “We'll set the operational bus in terminal,” he expressed, Monday (7/6).

He acknowledged each bus will be given the deadline to wait and pick up passengers between 15-29 minutes. His side will warn the bus crew if they violate the specified time.

According to Hartono, such policy does not yet applied because it depends on the density of the scheduled departure of the homecomers. “Probably, the number of homecomers would be increased, so we will apply the policy,” he expressed.

He expects it could parse traffic congestion along Jalan Pasar Jumat Raya-Jalan Ciputat Raya. “Surely the congestion from Pondok Indah-Jalan Ciputat Raya cannot be avoided if traffic is dense and no space for bus,” he disclosed.
