10 Clothes Stalls in Pejagalan Burnt

A suspected electrical short-circuit caused a fire that razed 10 clothes stalls which are located at Jalan Raya Teluk Gong RW 10, Pejagalan Urban Village, Penjaringan, North Jakarta, Tuesday (7/7).

According to several witnesses, the fire broke out at around 7.45 AM. Due to most of stalls are semi-permanent buildings, causing fire grew up rapidly to the next building.

Head of North Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue Sub-department, Satriadi Gunawan said that fire was brought under control an hour later after the 7 fire trucks deployed to the scene.
“So far, we are still cooling down the fire location. As for the loss, is still being calculated,” he disclosed.
