10 Clothes Stalls in Pejagalan Burnt

A suspected electrical short-circuit caused a fire that razed 10 clothes stalls which are located at Jalan Raya Teluk Gong RW 10, Pejagalan Urban Village, Penjaringan, North Jakarta, Tuesday (7/7).

Allegedly, the fire is caused by an electrical short-circuit

According to several witnesses, the fire broke out at around 7.45 AM. Due to most of stalls are semi-permanent buildings, causing fire grew up rapidly to the next building.

Pejagalan Urban Village Head, Alamsyah revealed that there were no casualties reported in the incident. “Allegedly, the fire is caused by an electrical short-circuit,” he expressed.

Head of North Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue Sub-department, Satriadi Gunawan said that fire was brought under control an hour later after the 7 fire trucks deployed to the scene.

“So far, we are still cooling down the fire location. As for the loss, is still being calculated,” he disclosed.
