Pramono: Sexual Harassment Perpetrators at PT Transjakarta must Be Dealt with Firmly

Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung responded to the allegations of sexual harassment that occurred at PT Transjakarta. He asked PT Transjakarta to impose strict sanctions on the perpetrators of sexual harassment.

Whoever they are, must be dealt with firmly

"If there is indeed harassment and the person knows about it, there must be firm action," he said, at Jakarta City Hall, Thursday (11/13).

He emphasized that the well-established image of PT Transjakarta must be maintained. He cited various positive achievements by Transjakarta, such as creating more space for women to become drivers and the acceptance of people with disabilities in Transjakarta.

According to him, the service facilities at Transjakarta are also continuously improving.

"But if then there are people who commit harassment, whoever they are, must be dealt with firmly," said Pramono.

As information, suspected sexual harassment cases occurred involving three employees of PT Transjakarta while working. The perpetrator is suspected to be the victim's boss.
