Ahok Instructs SKPD to Refund State Funds Using Personal Money

Jakarta Governor Basuki 'Ahok' Tjahaja Purnama instructed the Regional Working Unit (SKPD) to refund the money of Audit Agency (BPK)'s finding towards 2014 City Budget (APBD) amounted Rp 495 billion. It is targeted the budget surplus refunding could achieve up to 80 percent within 60 days.

"Refund it by using their own money if they can't be reponsible with the money," said Ahok at City Hall, Monday (7/13). 

Ahok threatened if the related SKPD will not refund the money then they would be jailed. As it is public's. "If they cannot refund, they will get jailed. Using personal money but it is not clear what is the money for. Do you think this is your father's money?!," he asserted.

Ahok: BPK Should Conduct Substantial Audit

Jakarta Inspectorat was instructed to keep being active to SKPD that included in BPK's finding. As Jakarta Provincial Government only has 60 days. "It must be refunded. Summon the SKPD. If they cannot refund it within 60 days, report them with with corruption charges," he stressed.

He mentioned the investigation conducted by BPK this time is better than before. Because in this year, the finding is conducted in detail. "Is there any confession before? It's great, isn't it? I've already instructed BPK to investigate it completely," he asserted. 

The government itself is targeting to refund the finding budget of BPK up to 80 percent. Unsparing, the budget refunded reaches Rp 495 billion. There are 43 SKPDs which are allegedly categorized in fictitious budget thus causing losses indication. 

Some of them are Regional Employment Agency (BKD), Jakarta Asset and Financial Management Body (BPKAD), Tax Service Department, Bina Marga Department, Education Sub-Department, Parks Sub-Department, Social Department, Sport and Youth Department, Communications Department, Transjakarta Busway Technical Management Unit (UPT) and Pulogadung UPT.
