2 Excavators were deployed to dredge sediment in Krukut River ,” said Head of South Jakarta Water Management Sub-Department, Deddy Budi Widodo, Thursday (7/28).Ahok Instructs Water Management Head Dept to Dredge Shallow RiverRelaying on beritajakarta.com observations, currently, those equipments are placed in flow of Krukut River at RT 15/02, Petogogan Urban Village. “We do this to make the water flow smoothly,” he said.
The dredging is aimed to add the river capacity and expedite its flow. “By so, we can free the upstream area from flood,” he enlightened.
Andi, (52), one of local residents positively welcomed the dredging effort in Krukut River. “I hope, the river could be widened thus our village can be free from flood,” he expected.
