“The fund was from residents and managed by East Jakarta Bazis," said East Jakarta Mayor, Bambang Musyawardhana, Monday (8/10).
According to Musyawardhana, the effort is a way to stimulate residents' sense of togetherness and mutual cooperation to help each other. Every citizen whose house is being renovated, obtained aid of Rp 25 million.
As experienced by Solihun bin Sue (70), one of aid recipients admitted that he was so glad knowing his home will be renovated.
“I couldn't rehab my house, if I don’t get the aid,” he finished.
