Three-Story Building in Jati Padang Torn Down

South Jakarta Sub-dept. of City Spatial demolished a building on Jalan Jati Padang Raya RT02/04, Pasar Minggu. One excavator was deployed to torn down the three stories building.

Warning letters had been sent, but the owner ignored it

"The building is not appropriate with the building license," said Bayu Adji, Head of Space and Building Controlling Board, Thursday (8/13).

According to him, the owner proposed to build two stories building for right and left side. In fact, the development was continued to the middle side. "We only demolish the middle part of the building," he added.

Building License letter No. 3297/IMB/e/2014 written that the land wide is 1000 meter square with building wide is 600 meter square. It also stated that the building is used as a residence.

About 30 joint personnel from Satpol PP, Army, and Police were deployed to guard the area and prevent chaos.
