Brawl, 2 Citizens in Tebet Wounded

On Monday (8/17), brawl between residents occurred on Jalan Swadaya I, Manggarai Urban Village, South Jakarta. As a result, dozens of houses were damaged by stones and bottles, while 2 citizens also injured.

The cause is due to a fight between residents of RW 07 and RW 09

Marno (50), a RW 09 resident told, the action started when a youth from RW 09 were attacked by the youth from RW 07 while filling up gasoline in gas station (SPBU) Manggarai on Sunday (8/16) night, not accepted their friend being attacked, RW 09 strikes back.

"The brawl began since last night and today around 4 PM. They attacked RW 09 while the competition of Independence Day commemoration took place. Two people wounded in the head and brought to the hospital," told Marno in location, Monday (8/17).

Meanwhile, Tebet Sector Police Head, Sr. Comr Ketut Sudarma said, the dispute was successfully completed.

"The cause is due to a fight between residents of RW 07 and RW 09, but we’ve managed to solve it," told Sudarma.

Currently, as many as 3 Brimob (car brigadier) companies of South Jakarta were deployed to dissolve the brawl and guard at the location. The casualties and material damaged are still under further investigation.
