Seribu Islands Residents Trained to Produce Community Boat

As many as 30 residents from various islands in Seribu Islands, got a technical training of small and medium industry for producing community boats and reparation of electronic household equipments from Dir. Gen Small and Medium (IKM) Regional II for Industry Ministry. The training takes 2 days, from August 18-22. 

As mandate of President Joko ‘Jokowi’ Widodo, that we need to develop marine sector, thus the program would be right to conduct

Dir. Gen Small and Medium (IKM) for Industry Ministry, Euis Saedah stated the training is a homework of ministry to produce 20,000 small industries and 4.500 medium industries, within 5 years ahead. 

City Still Found Overloaded Boat Sailing in Seribu Island

"As mandate of President Joko ‘Jokowi’ Widodo, that we need to develop marine sector, thus the program would be right to conduct," she stated, Tuesday (8/18). 

She added, the government hopes not only big-sized boat industry to be concerned while small boats on coast untouchable. 

"As the islands country, it's not good if we import boats from other countries, so we should make our own through the existing technological use. That's why the training held," she added. 

Such training that opened in the Hall of Untung Jawa Island Urban village, South Seribu Islands Sub-District was opened by Seribu Islands Vice Regent, M Anwar and implemented by Jakarta Industry and Energy Sub-Department.
