Seribu Islands Regent Budi Utomo asked the Local National Sports Council (KONI) to keep excavating kids' potential there, to find new novice of sportsman.
Many kids have potential, just need to be trained and guided
He stated, the searching of new talented athletes is not only conducted in the competition event, but keep being conducted everytime for guiding them further.
Use of Grant Fund for KONI Monitored Strictly
"I want KONI to keep excavating kids' potential through championships. Many kids have potential, just need to be trained and guided," he stated, Wednesday (8/19).
To realize it, he suggested KONI to have synergy with related Regional Working Unit (SKPD) such as Youth and Sport and Education Sub-Department.
KONI also can use sport branch to attract tourists such as triathlon, swimming, and diving.
"So besides guidance towards athletes, KONI also can survey regarding sport enthused by tourists, the purpose is for increasing revenue in sport tourism sector," he disclosed.
