Basuki Suggested High-Speed Train in Manggarai & Gambir

Jakarta Governor, Basuki 'Ahok' T Purnama suggested 2 locations that will be used by Central Government to build a high-speed train with route Jakarta-Bandung. 

The train is the central government's business, we can't interfere it. At that time, we suggested them to use lands in Manggarai and Gambir

"The train is the central government's business, we can't interfere it. At that time, we suggested them to use lands in Manggarai and Gambir," said Ahok, at City Hall, Tuesday (8/25). 

According to him, both locations are already have the intermoda and still quite large for building expansion. "In Manggarai, is already done, so all we can stack on the land as it is large. We also want to suggest the land in Monas," he told. 

Basuki Asked City Police to Lead Relocation Process

He uttered, the city administration also intends to give land for expansion of Gambir Station if the train passes the station. "We want expand the station thus the train could pass it. Minimally, there is intermoda inside and outside of city," he uttered. 

He added, if the train is built on Halim's land, the intermoda must be built and its process would take long time. "If the ministry suggests land in Halim, it could be little trouble. As for in Manggarai and Gambir the intermoda is already done,"
