Children in Tambora Urban Village Needs RPTRA

Children of Tambora Urban Village, West Jakarta, need a Child-Friendly Integrated Public Space (RPTRA) in their residence. But until this time, the area still has no the park. 

We had difficulties to do negotiation with the landowner. Considering Tambora is an arable land in business rather than concerning on public service

Tambora Urban Village Head, Dwi Kurniasih stated, her party had proposed RPTRA construction to Tambora Sub-District. But the land to construct it is still unavailable. 

"We had difficulties to do negotiation with the landowner. Considering Tambora is an arable land in business rather than concerning on public service," she told, Thursday (9/3). 

Land for Harapan Mulia RPTRA Cleaned

According to her, such land is much needed for RPTRA as the child population is quite high. "They need an adequate playground for them to grow," she expressed. 

Based on statistic data of Jakarta Population and Civil Registration Department, throughout June-July 2015, the child population in Tambora Urban Village is 2,970 children. It is divided into 3 age categories, for 0-4 years old; there are 527 boys and 510 girls, for 5-9 years old, 491 boys and 476 girls, and for 10-14 years, 488 boys and 478 girls. 

"We're trying maximally to build at least a place for them to socialize," she explained.
