25,000 Taxpayers in C. Jakarta Have Not Paid PBB

Tens thousands of taxpayers in Central Jakarta have not paid Urban and Rural Land and Building Tax (PBB P2) which the due date was on August 31, 2015.

In Central Jakarta, currently there are 25,000 out of 500,000 taxpayers both agency or individual who have not paid the tax

"In Central Jakarta, currently there are 25,000 out of 500,000 taxpayers both agency or individual who have not paid the tax," said Head of Central Jakarta Tax Service Sub-Department, Sarasi Tampubolon, Friday (9/4).

She stated, the target of the tax this year is amounted to Rp 1,06 trillion. "Until this time the revenue of 8 sub-districts is only 90 percent. In future we will involve urban village and sub-districts heads for the billing," she stated.

PBB Revenue in West Jakarta Only Reached 32.98 Percent

According to her, economic deceleration, financial difficulty and citizens' purchasing power which is decreased are one of the reason why they have not paid for the tax.

"We will remind them, if they don't pay the tax, will be sanctioned by 2 percent of interest.

However, she continued, for those who intend to pay the tax, now there is a policy from the governor, "The interest will be freed as long as they paid at the latest December 31," she closed.
