National Child's Day, 300 Orphans Received Aid

In commemoration of National Children's Day 2015, Central Jakarta Administration gave donation to orphans in Muslimin Orphanage, Senen.

"The City Administration is trying to realize Jakarta as a child-friendly city. Therefore, children's rights should be protected and we will build 12 RPTRAs," said Central Jakarta Mayor, Mangara Pardede, when he attended the National Child's Day event in Muslimin Orphanage, Sunday (9/6). 

Pardede told, the aid given are money, 300 packages of healthy food and school stationaries. "Healthy children will grow strong next generation," he told.

Meanwhile, Head of Central Jakarta Social Sub-Department, Susana Budi Susilowati stated the event theme is "Realize Children's Welfare by Developing Potential and Creativity of Environment and Family". The theme was taken because children are n ation's bud that their welfare should be paid attention. "Besides, they understand that they have important meaning in life," she explained. 

Some programs as a form of caring to children. They are by conducting accompaniment program of social welfare to social troubled children. "Then is advocacy and recommendation of child adoption, empowerment of social troubled children's parents, etc," she mentioned. 

Besides donation, the award was also given to 9 Institutes of Children Social Welfare (LKSA) that have given social service to children for category of halfway house, non-children orphanage and orphanage in Central Jakarta. Not only that, 5 wheelchairs for disabled children and 1 hearing aid and 300 natura packages were also given. Then aid for meeting basic needs were also given to 1,200 social troubled children, that distributed through the institute, non orphanage (NPSAA)
