Basuki Stops Rate Hike on Land & Building Tax Until 2018

Jakarta Governor, Basuki “Ahok” T Purnama issued a new policy over Land and Building Tax (PBB).

No rate hike on tax until 2018

The policy was made to stop rate hike on tax for residential with taxable value of property (NJOP) less than Rp 1 billion until 2018.

PBB Revenue in West Jakarta Only Reached 32.98 Percent

“No rate hike on tax until 2018,” he said, at City Hall, Monday (9/7).

Ahok added that such policy also applies to the flat and low-cost subsidized apartment (rusunami) all over Jakarta.

He would also a chance for buildings that violate zoning and floor to be legalized, as long as its tax is based on the newest NJOP.

As known, the tax hike has been going on since 2013 due to there was NJOP adjustment. As for the increase in NJOP in Jakarta, is varied, where it adjusted with location starting from 120-240 percent.

Hence, the city administration gives relief to the low-income taxpayers and the retired civil servants.
