Public Transportation Raid Intensified in Kota Train Station

West Jakarta Transportation Sub-Department intends to intensify raid of public transportation which often mangkal (stop at roadside waiting for passengers) around Kota Train Station. Because their indiscipline behavior makes the area congested everyday.

We certainly will hold a raid everyday

"We certainly will hold a raid everyday. But they still do such thing if officers are off guard. Hence, we deploy 4 officers around the station," said Head of West Jakarta Transportation Sub-Department, Tiodor Sianturi, Thursday (9/10).

Those public transportation commonly do not give up eventhough have repeatedly been raided.

Post-Revitalization, 3 Terminals Back to Operate Normally

Their excuse, besides the terminal is located quite far, passengers number riding public transportation is more in Kota Station than other places.

"For us, there are more passengers in the train station than in bus terminal," said Jamal (33), one of the public minivans M12 route Senen-Kota.
