Basuki Wants Jakartans Life Expectancy Up to 85 Years

Jakarta Governor, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok), wants the citizen's life expectancy could reach 85 years. Health service in the capital will be improved much to realize this plan. Today's life expectancy is still in 73.49 years.

Their life chance could gain from 72-76 years to 85 years

"Their life chance could gain from 72-76 years to 85 years," Basuki said, Friday (9/11).

The governor has launched Ketok Pintu Layani dengan Hati (door to door health check) through Dept. of Health.

Basuki Predicted LRT Fare Rp 10,000-15,000

"Elder's health will be checked by our personnel by visiting them," he added.

Not only from health sector, but public facility will be also prepared such as Child-Friendly Public Open Space (RPTRA), Jakarta Smart Card (KJP), Jakarta Health Card (KJS), and providing flats.

"The better their health, the longer they live," he continued.

Meanwhile, City's Statistic Agency reported that city's Human Development Index (IPM) in 2012 was always higher than the national index. In 2002, city's IPM was 75.60 and 2012 was 78.33.
