Jakarta Governor, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama was appointed as Inspector of Army 70th Anniversary Ceremony at Makodam Jaya Quater, Monday (10/5).
Entering the age of 70, Army could use this momentum as citizens' soldiers, fighters and professionals
On Army's Anniversary which was themed "Together with Citizens, Army is strong, great, professional, ready to realize Indonesia to be sovereign, independent and having personality," as many as 6,000 joint personnel Army, Police, and Satpol PP and citizens element participated in the ceremony.
On the ceremony that was started at 9 AM, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama, was wearing official uniform of governor complete with the cap. Before leading the ceremony, he inspected the participants.
Ahok Grateful Served as Inspector at Independence Day CeremonyNext, the governor read President's mandate. One of his points on his speech is conveying president's thankfulness for loyalty and kindness of Army in defending the state.
"Specially, the thankfulness is intended to Army who are assigned at boundaries, abroad, and remote area for maintaining state sovereignty," he expressed.
"Entering the age of 70, Army could use this momentum as citizens' soldiers, fighters and professionals," he closed.
