Basuki Wants to Divert PHL to PPSU Officer

Jakarta Governor, Basuki T. Purnama (Ahok), wants to divert Freelancer (PHL) as Public Infrastructure and Facility Handling (PPSU) personnel. It is because many of freelancers in Dept. of City Cleanliness, Dept. of Water Management, Dept. of Bina Marga, and Dept. of City Parks and Cemeteries often ignore the instruction.

He also assessed the number of PPSU personnel is still low. In fact, the work of PPSU personnel is appreciateable.

"Freelancer for PPSU personnel is a good idea. We can see how PPSU personnel do their duty," he said, Friday (10/9).

By adding the PPSU personnel in urban village, head of urban village will be the manager. The existing freelancers only want run the task from sub-department, while they ignored the task from head urban village.

Jakarta Provincial Government allocates Rp 2.1 - 3 billion for all urban village heads to recruit freelancer and PPSU personnel this year. The budget is used as personnel salary Rp 2.7 billion, health and manpower insurance, building material expenditure, and one operational car.

Each urban village is able to recruit 40-70 personnel.
