Seribu Islands Regency Administration is supporting the Ministry of Tourism and Culture's way in providing guidance over management of the tourism sector for all stakeholders involved. The element transportation (land, air and sea) is important for tourism development in Seribu Islands.

Seribu Islands Secretary, Ismer Harahap disclosed the current issue is the transportation problem that does not always exist to cross over to the islands. Thus, tourists have to adjust to the ship schedule.

"The urgent thing is transportation, where it should be improved. Hopefully, governor's idea could be realized," he expressed, Thursday (11/5).
Harahap explains formation of Destination Management Organization (DMO) by Ministry of Tourism and Culture, is a program to improve governance in the islands to the class tourism destination.
"The local government supports such way. Thus the all groups could garner cooperation, communication and coordination in the islands management as a tourist destination," he exclaimed.
Previously, Jakarta Governor Basuki 'Ahok' T Purnama intended to create ship transportation like Transjakarta bus that is available at any time to cross by land to the islands or vice versa.
