Jakarta Head Dept. of Transportation, Andri Yansyah, said his side has proposed to add 1,500 personnel to Jakarta Development Planning Board (Bappeda).

Those personnel will be recruited as field technical with individual contract and paid Rp 3.1 million.

"The salary is adjusted with province minimum wage Rp 3.1 million" he said, Thursday (11/5).

Area with prone to traffic will be their point of duty. As planned, the personnel is recruited from Land Transportation School (STTD) and Land Transportation Safety Polytechnic.

"It will ease us if the recruitment is taken from that school. But we still open the recruitment for public," he added.

Besides recruiting personnel for field-task, his side also recruit for administration position.

"They must be able to create traffic study to overcome traffic jam," he continued.

The 1,500 personnel will be spread to five sub-departments in the capital.
