Basuki: Corruption Undermines State Roots

Jakarta Governor, Basuki 'Ahok' T Purnama, asserted corruption is a disease that can ruin the roots of the nation and state, Pancasila.

That's why, we should have the spirit of fighting corruption and must be fought

Thereby, Ahok said, it is impossible if the nation's roots can be strong if the disease is not eradicated.

Basuki Satisfied With City's Service Performance

"That's why, we should have the spirit of fighting corruption and must be fought," he stressed, in his speech at the 2015 Bung Hatta Anti-Corruption Award (BHACA), Thursday (11/5).

He explained, the BHACA award granted to Mayor of Surabaya, Tri Rismaharini and Regent of Batang, Yoyo Riyo, could erase the negative stigma of the government administration in the public eye.

"At this time, in the growing people stigma, bureaucrat is lazy and corrupt. BHACA Award proves that not all official like that. Hence, I support this event," he disclosed.
