Basuki Led Monas' Fence Repainting Activity

City Administration and Paint Company are cooperating to re-paint Monas’ fence area, Central Jakarta. The activity coincides with National Heroes Day that is celebrated annually on November 10.

The first painting was done symbolically by Jakarta Governor, Basuki “Ahok” T Purnama after he became an Inspector of National Heroes Day Ceremony at IRTI Monas, Tuesday (11/10).

Ahok continued that Monas is a historical monument that was built in memory of resistance and struggle of our heroes. So it is essential to maintain its beauty which became capital icon.

"Let us contribute for our city, that is by re-painting the Monas,” he expressed.

In addition, as much as 17,250 civil servants, Abang-None community and other organizations involved the activity which is slated to be ended on November 30.
