Reported by Devi Lusianawati | Translated by Cintya Meliza
Since land in National Monument (Monas) area is sediment, many grasses in the area cannot grow or be planted.
If the grasses already grow, Monas will look neater and greener
To anticipate it, Monas' Management Office is buying soil from outside to plant the grasses and replacing the dead ones.
Supporting Facilities in Monas will Be Improved Soon
Head of Monas KPK, Rini Haryani told that Jakarta Governor, Basuki ‘Ahok’ Tjahaja Purnama often complains about the condition. The soil purchase then conducted in self-help.
"It would be too long if waiting City Budget, while Mr. Governor wants Monas to look beautiful with green grasses," she told, Wednesday (11/11).
By doing so, all grasses in the area are hoped could grow and make Monas greener. In future, her side will keep guarding and monitoring so that grasses which already grow will not be stepped by visitors.
