4 Puddle Prone Points at Cipayung Arranged

The ranks of Cipayung Sub-District, East Jakarta does arrangement in four flood-prone areas. if it is ignored, the flood can disturb citizen activities.

It is hoped no more flood in such areas in rainy season

Cipayung Sub-District Head, Iin Mutmainah disclosed, the four areas that prone to flood are Jalan Raya Hankam, citizen residential near Urindo Campus, Bambu Apus, Setu Indah Housing Complex and RW 12 Lubang Buaya Urban Village.

"We normalize those areas by involving PPSU and Water Management Sub-Department. It is hoped no more flood in such areas in rainy season," he said.

Transportation Dept. Personnel Demanded to Be More Proactive

According to him, especially Jalan Raya Hankam, the channel was already been normalized. But beside JORR toll road, another channel is narrowed. "We'll coordinate this matter with PT Jasa Marga. If the channel was fixed, flood would be resolved," he stated.

Likewise in Setu Indah Housing Complex, flood often seen because the complex is located in the basin area. On the south side, there is Cilangkap Headquarter Housing Complex, as well as west and north sides, its complex is very far.

"RW 12 Lubang Buaya often flooded due to overflowing waters of Sunter River. After being normalized, it is expected this condition could be anticipated in future," he disclosed.
