Transjakarta Bus Shelter on Jalan Yos Sudarso Proposed to Be Demolished

Transjakarta Bus Shelter on sidewalk of Jalan Yos Sudarso, Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta, is proposed to be demolished as it has not functioned for a long time.

The 3-meter-width sidewalk is narrowing up to 160 centimeters because of the shelter. The shelter is located not far from North Jakarta Transportation Sub-Department.

"Why is it not just demolished? since it's no longer functioned," said Minah, a local, Thursday (11/19).

The same complaint was also expressed by Engkus Triatmoko (45), the other local.

Head of North Jakarta Transportation Sub-Department, Anton Parura claimed that it is not his authority to demolish the shelter. As the position is on Transjakarta bus lane.

"It means, if the shelter was on non Transjakarta lane, we would have demolished it," he said when he contacted.

According to him, the shelter will be demolished after flyover project of Priok Toll access is done. "So it's just temporary. Will get demolished if the project is done," he asserted.
