Transjakarta Achieves More Than a Million Passengers Per Day

Through its commitment in giving the best service for public transportation users, PT. Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta) achieved more than one million customers per day.

We will continue to serve our customers optimally

PT. Transjakarta Corporate Secretary and Public Relation Division Head, Nadia Diposanjoyo stated, Transjakarta served total 1,006,579 customers on Tuesday, February 4, 2020.

"It shows an increase from last Tuesday (1/28) with total customers that reached 987,583 people," she stated, Wednesday (2/5).

She explained, this achievement was also achieved with support from Jakarta Provincial Government's programs through Jakarta Transportation Department.

"The most influential thing that supports us for achieving this target is the integrated transportation service program, Jak Lingko Microtrans initiated by Mr. Governor. This service is very useful as the first mile and last mile transport," he conveyed.

Besides, this target could be achieved due to PT. Transjakarta and Jakarta Government's consistency in providing integrated transportation service.

"We will continue to serve our customers optimally. Thank you for advancing transportation in Jakarta with us," she said.

Recently, she added, PT. Transjakarta is focus on creating independent transportation program by implementing wayfinding system and installing Tap on Bus (ToB) machines in all Non-Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) units. Moreover, PT. Transjakarta has also prepared Company Long-Term Plans (RJPP).

"We have set four main targets. Those are connected with ridership improvement, fleet service, infrastructure, and non-ticket income," she informed.

Regarding number of fleet service, Transjakarta increases its target by 19 percent or 4,334 fleets. In details, 967 BRT buses, 1,167 non-BRT buses, and 2,200 microtrans.

"We also expand our service range from 278 routes into 285 routes," she closed.
