Flood Still Hits Kampung Pulo

Inundation in Kampung Pulo area which built at Gg 3, 4 and  5, Kampung Melayu Urban Village, East Jakarta, since Thursday dawn (12/10) had been receding yet not quite drastically.

Starting at 4 AM-5 AM, the water had risen up, yet receded slowly, look at that there are so much trash

Previously, heavy rain pouring down Bogor area last night made water debit of Ciliwung River risen up around 4 AM. Then water level in the locations was up to 3 meters, but now it receded only 1 meter.

Irfan, one of Gg 4 residents said that the slow receding was because trash clogging in the box culverts.

Kampung Pulo is Safe from Flood If Normalization Project Finished

"Starting at 4 AM-5 AM, the water had risen up, yet receded slowly, look at that there are so much trash," he complained.

Meanwhile, Hasim, the other resident added that it took hours to get receded. Because since 10 AM his house was still inundated.

"It usually gets receded quickly, we have no idea whether the rain in Bogor was so heavy or the problem was in here," he expressed.

Beritajakarta.com observation, most of residents whose house inundated had started cleaning their house.
