About 64 houses along Ciliwung riverbank, Jalan Kampung Melayu Kecil, Bukit Duri Urban Vilage, Tebet, South Jakarta, will be demolished by South Jakarta Administration, Tuesday (1/12). It is aimed to ease the river normalization.

“The demolition will be carried out next Tuesday,” said Tri Kurniadi, South Jakarta Mayor, Sunday (1/10).
According to him, those 64 houses owners have been relocated to Cipinang Besar Selatan and Pulogebang flat in East Jakarta.

His side will deploy 250 Satpol PP personnel to assist the demolition. “I’ll lead the activity directly,” he promised.
