Jakarta Provincial Government appreciated Masyarakat Peduli Ciliwung community (Mat Peci) which is still commitment to maintain Ciliwung river preservation.

Many activities are conducted by the community such as planting trees, spreading fish seed, and so on.

“This event will surely maintain the river’s preservation as well as escalate the environment quality,” said Tri, Sunday (1/10).

According to him, the river’s condition from year to year is getting worse. Trash pilling, liquid waste and industry, and shallowing keep happening in Ciliwung river.

At this time, Jakarta Provincial Government is still intensifying the normalization and contamination management to realize clean river. It means that participation from surrounding citizens, central and government, and private party is also needed.

“I hope this event can be continued and supported by many sides to realize what we want,” he added.
