Puddles in Kemang Selatan Receded Faster

Torrential rain that pours the capital city since Friday (1/22) night until Saturday (1/23) dawn, causing puddles everywhere.

It can be seen in a citizen residential on Jalan kemang Selatan X, RT 03/02, Bangka, Mampang Prapatan, South Jakarta. Puddles as high as adult knee came at 3 AM and then receded around at 12 PM.

Puddles on Jalan Tentara Pelajar Sucked Up

Teguh, a local citizen told it was caused by overflowing waters of Krukut River nearby his village. Nevertheless, the water quickly receded than previous years.

"Our village is prone to flood. Previously, water inundated the village about one meter because it is lowland. But now, the overflowing waters of Krukut River quickly receded than last year," he told when being interviewed in the location.

He expressed, in 2014, citizen could not celebrate Eid ul Fitr due to flood as high as two meters.

Another statement also came out from a citizen, Radikun. The puddles from rain last night hit his home at 4 AM with water level adult ankle.

"In front of my home, the water level reached adult knee. The water on the street receded at 11.45 AM," he told.

He hoped, prior to peak of rainy season, the related unit to immediately respond quickly by doing any anticipation.

"The current flood is not like before, but we have to do something because this is just beginning," he finished.
