Land Acquisition Hampers Sheet Pile Installation in Pesanggrahan
The construction of Kamal Reservoir, Kamal Urban Village, Kalideres, West Jakarta, still hampered by land acquisition. From total of 40 hectares needed, the land that has been acquired is only 5 hectares.
Tegal Alur Urban Village Head, Ahmad Mawardi said that most of the land has not been acquired is used by local residents for fish farming, shrimp and residence. Currently, they have filed lawsuit over land ownership to the court.
"We will wait until the process is completed first. And then continued with land acquisition and compensation," he stated, Tuesday (1/26).
Head of Jakarta Water Management Dept, Teguh Hendrawan asserted his sub-dept will start the construction after the land status is clear and acquired.
"The reservoir will be used for water absorption before being flowed to the seat. If it was built, the flood in Kalideres and Cengkareng would be resolved," he finished.
