4 Urban Villages in E. Jakarta Still Inundated

As many as four urban villages in East Jakarta are still inundated due to overflowing waters of Ciliwung River. But the numbers have started to decrease and the citizens are no longer displaced.

Water level is varied, from 10-50 centimeters

Head of Control and Informatic Section, Jakarta Regional Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD), Bambang Surya Putra said, flood still inundates two urban villates in Jatinegara Sub-district and two urban villages in Kramat Jati Sub-district.

"Water level is varied, from 10-50 centimeters," he told, Wednesday (3/9).

Based on the information gathered from Kramat Jati Sub-district in Cawang Urban Village, flood as high as 10-50 centimeters hits RW 01 (RT 04, 05, 06, 07, 08), RW 02 (RT 02, 08, 10, 11, 12), RW 03 (RT 02, 04, 07, 15) dan RW 05 (RT 01, 09, 10, 11, 12).

As for Cililitan Urban Village, water level reaches 10-40 centimeters hits RW 07 (RT 06).

Similar condition is also spotted in Jatinegara Sub-district in Kampung Melayu Urban Village, water level reaches 10-50 centimeters hits RW 01 (RT 10, 12, 13), RW 04 (RT 12, 13) and RW 05 (RT 10, 11).

Lastly, Bidara Cina Urban Village, flood as high as 10-30 centimeters hits RW 07 (RT05).

"The number of flood victims is 1,618 households or 4,688 people," he finished.
