A Jakarta commuter line train derailed on its way from Manggarai Station to Tanah Abang Station at around 6.18 AM, causing a disruption to train services and subsequent passenger build up on Wednesday (5/18).

Head of Public Relations for PT KAI Commuter Greater Jakarta, Eva Chairunisa apologized for the disturbance of train trip from Manggarai-Tanah Abang. Passengers are encouraged to switch to other transportation modes because the repair process is still ongoing.
"For the train passengers who have conducted transactions but cannot wait and will switch to using other transportation modes allowed to refund the ticket or card to clear at the available counters," she disclosed, through a press release, Wednesday (5/18).

For Manggarai-Tanah Abang destination, train will only use one lane alternately. But it takes a long time due to train queue.
