Jakarta Bina Marga Dept is going to encourage private side to contribute in sidewalk arrangement program in the capital. It is one of their obligations as compensation from building development.

"They get a concession of land use, thus they should have a concern for the surrounding sidewalk," disclosed Head of Jakarta Bina Marga Dept, Yusmada Faizal, Tuesday (5/31).

He stated, in every building construction, they need the sidewalk and the utility network. That is why there must be obligation from them to help arranging the sidewalk.

"By so, the sidewalk as a public domain around their buildings or lands must also be considered," he finished.
