Today, Transjakarta Lanes Guarded by 640 Personnel

640 joint personnel will be dispatched to sterilize Transjakarta bus lanes in several corridors today, Tuesday (6/17). Every day, those will be assigned to block and crack down on vehicle that grabs Transjakarta lane.

Deputy Head of Jakarta Transportation Dept, Sunardi Sinaga disclosed 640 joint personnel consist of 120 personnel from Transportation Dept, 120 personnel from Satpol PP, 50 personnel from Polda Metro Jaya Traffic Directorate and 350 personnel from PT Transjakarta.
"At 1 PM, they will attend in ceremony on the yard of Transjakarta office and move to points that have been chosen," he stated, in Hi Roundabout area, Monday (6/13).
Army/Police Vehicles Prohibited Passing Transjakarta LaneSunardi disclosed, in the initial stage, sterilization is focused on corridor 1, 3, 4, 5 and 9. The reason is elevation of road separator is already done.
"Hence, private vehicle and public transport are prohibited to grab the lane," he expressed.
Thus far, passing ban on Transjakarta lane is pretty effective. Only a small percentage of vehicles are still forced grabbing the lanes.
"In future, we will wait them at the end of the road. If they still do the same thing, they will be ticketed. There must be awareness of the road user," he finished.
