Sea Dike Project in Jakarta Has Touched 50 Meters

The Ciliwung-Cisadane Flood Control Office (BBWSCC) has begun construction of sea dike in the Bay of Jakarta. The dike as long as 4.5 kilometers that built has touched 50 meters. It is targeted to be complete in the upcoming 2019.

The sea dike is still under process. They are built in Muara Baru and Pluit, as well as Kali Baru. So far, it has touched 50 meters

BBWSCC Head, Teuku Iskandar disclosed that the construction is still under construction. It is done at two points, namely Muara Baru and Kalibaru.

Private Companies Interested to Join in Gian Sea Wall Project

Especially in Muara Bari, it is managed by PT Waskita Karya and Adhi Karya. While in Kalibaru, is handled by Wijaya Karya and PT Sac Nusantara.

"The project contract has run around one year," he told.

Technology that used is pile with concrete pipe in diameter of 101.2 meters. Its installation uses an excellent technology. Thus landslide can be avoided in future.

"We use inner drill machine here with a deep of -20 meters from seabed," he uttered.

He targets such construction could be complete in the upcoming 2019.
