Truck Plunges Into Drainage on Jalan Lebak Bulus, Traffic Congested

A truck B 9143 BEH plunged into a drainage on Jalan Lebak Bulus 1, Cilandak, South Jakarta. The incident caused traffic congestion as long as 5 kilometers.

Actually, the single incident involving the truck carrying stake came from Cikarang towards Cinere happened on Tuesday (5/13), at around 9 PM. The truck's body has covered three-quarters of Jalan Lebak Bulus 1 thus the vehicle cannot bypass the road. Whereas, it is an alternative access from Cinere and Cirendeu towards Jalan Fatmawati Raya and then penetrated to TB Simatupang Toll Road.

"We want to go to Cinere, but our truck plunged into the drain," exclaimed Toha (45), a truck driver, Wednesday (5/14).

Unfortunately, the officers of Jakarta Transportation Department could not do much, where 2 tow trucks cannot able to evacuate the truck from the drain.

As quoted by beritajakarta.com, traffic from Jalan Lebak Bulus 1 from Jalan Fatmawati to Jalan Karang Tengah Raya had to be closed. Long congestion still existed on Jalan Karang Tengah Raya and Jalan Fatmawati Raya, from Pondok Labu to the Fatmawati Hospital junction.

"We had to close Jalan Fatmawati to Karang Tengah. We also report the incident to Police Traffic Unit Directorate to help us evacuating the truck," reported Chief of Cilandak Sub-District Police Ta skforce Unit, Djaurina.
